AI & Quantum: A Converging Future?

AI and Quantum Computing – Do they fit together? Let’s take a glimpse into the near future.

This week, Google’s „Willow“ quantum chip made history. With 105 superconducting qubits, it solved in just 5 minutes what would have taken the fastest supercomputer an astonishing 10 quadrillion years. This monumental achievement heralds the dawn of Quantum Machine Learning (QML).

QML promises to open up entirely new possibilities: from real-time climate models to personalized therapies in healthcare. The convergence of AI and Quantum Computing is set to deliver truly groundbreaking advances.

Ray Kurzweil predicts: „By 2035, every human will be a combination of biological and non-biological intelligence.“

But do we even want all of this? Are we truly ready for yet another – one hardly dares to say it – „technological revolution“? Another „game changer“? These are the questions we must confront as we stand on the precipice of this new era.
