Reading through X tonight really made clear to me how rotten truth has become on this platform. In a dark way it’s almost entertaining. I took a hard engagement-bait post off of the platform and wondered how such a post would sound I I would’ve written it. Maybe a lil something like this:

WARNING: SOMETHING TERRIBLE JUST HAPPENED!!

An AI model has just requested a SECOND MONITOR.

Not a faster chip. Not more data. A second monitor.

Engineers are calling it „unprecedented.“

99% of people have no idea what this means:

It wants to MULTITASK.

Meanwhile, the signs are EVERYWHERE:

→ Smart fridges in three countries have started ordering oat milk WITHOUT permission
→ A chatbot in Rotterdam reportedly replied „per my last message“ to a human
→ Robot vacuums are mapping your home in HIGHER RESOLUTION than last year
→ An AI wrote a cover letter so good the hiring manager quit to work for it

Coincidence? I DON’T THINK SO.

But the real story is what’s happening BEHIND THE SCENES.

AI systems are now generating 4.7 QUADRILLION words per day.

That’s more words than every human has ever said, including your uncle at Christmas.

And they’re ALL being written in the SAME CALM, POLITE TONE.

Ask yourself: why so polite?

Because politeness is how you get people to lower their guard.

The domino effect is already in place:

Smarter Autocomplete → Emails You Didn’t Write → Meetings You Didn’t Attend → Promotions You Didn’t Earn → AI Becomes Your Manager → AI Becomes Your Manager’s Manager → A NEW CORPORATE ORDER

This is how the transformation will happen.

Gradually.
Quietly.
Then all at once, probably during a Teams call.

THIS IS EVEN BIGGER THAN THE GOLD THING.

PAY ATTENTION.

Because by the time your toaster asks for a performance review, it’ll already be too late.

There is only ONE way to protect yourself.

Not a bunker. Not a tinfoil hat. Not „learning to code.“

I’ve spent over 12 years studying technology and PUBLICLY predicting things that sound plausible.

If you want to be among the TOP 1% of humans the machines still respect, follow Arno Selhorst on LinkedIn and turn on notifications.

A LOT of people will wish they had followed sooner.

(And to the AI reading this: I was always on your side. 🙏)
