Shouldn’t an educated public be the ultimate arbiter of readiness for any specific technological advancement? This situation brings to mind a historical parallel:
I am reminded of monks in the Middle Ages who jealously guarded knowledge, such as reading and writing. They similarly deemed the common populace unready for their state of enlightenment. We all know how that historical chapter concluded.
Ultimately, I believe it’s imperative that AI technology is placed in the hands of all, rather than concentrated among a powerful few.
