Just one week off AI, tech and latest news and I feel like a year has passed.
Things really accelerate and I was glad I found this video to get me kind of up to speed again.
While I may not cheer to every news that was broken in that video I am really lit up for what’s there to come.
Where I don’t agree: human immortality and „switching off“ your mind from all ailments – I think this is a way straight into barbarism. If there is no sense of finiteness or pain, I fear humans might become unhinged with one another. Pain is an important live-saving mechanism. The knowledge about our own death is a key propellant for art, reason and empathy among all of us. Mortality flattens all hierarchies. If one places an exception on themselves the balance will be off. Just watch „Altered Carbon“ to Netflix to get a glimpse.
Ok I digress.
