Interview: Exploring „T1M3“

Interviewer: Thank you for joining us today, Mr. Selhorst. Your latest novel „T1M3“ has been creating quite a buzz in the science fiction community. Can you tell us what inspired you to write this book?

Arno Selhorst: As an innovation manager at Deutsche Telekom, I’m constantly thinking about the future of technology and its potential impact on society. The idea for „T1M3“ came from exploring the concept of consciousness and how it might be leveraged in a highly advanced civilization.

Interviewer: The premise of your book is fascinating. Could you explain the core concept for our readers?

Arno Selhorst: Certainly. In „T1M3,“ I imagine a distant future where humanity has developed the ability to separate consciousness from the physical body. This technology allows people to travel vast distances at the speed of light by transferring their consciousness. It’s essentially a form of instantaneous teleportation.

Interviewer: That’s an intriguing concept. How does this technology affect society in your fictional world?

Arno Selhorst: It completely changes society. The storage and guarding of „mindless“ bodies become major industries. There’s even a system where people can „rent out“ their bodies while their consciousness is elsewhere. It’s a world where the boundaries of physical existence are completely redefined.

Interviewer: Your book takes an unexpected turn when it introduces time travel. How did you approach this classic science fiction trope?

Arno Selhorst: I wanted to explore time travel from a fresh perspective. In the book, scientists discover that they can send consciousness not just through space, but also back in time. However, they face the challenge of finding suitable „vessels“ in the past. This leads to some unexpected consequences and ethical dilemmas.
