I will just say this:
If it talks like AI, moves like AI and glitches 19 seconds in like AI – well it probably is AI.
The more interesting question I would ask personally is: What are we currently missing? What don’t we see? Why are we not seeing it? Who keeps us from seeing what should be seen? Do we genuinely get the complete picture?
Times have changed, also (but not only!) because of (generative) artificial intelligence.
We will need to adopt a new way of looking at the world and its processes — social, politics, culture, narratives of good and evil. We look at all of these not with complete nihilism but also without a naive retro point of view wishing for „the good ol‘ times“ to return once more.
I guess we all will have to grow and wise up faster than you can say „Large Language Model“.
I am curious if the team around Hany Farid has some pointers regarding the piece of media currently making its rounds.
