After significant effort, I’m thrilled to announce the release of AI News Radar Version 1.0.10! The journey to this update, especially with the recent model switch from 2.5 Pro to 3.0 Pro Preview, presented a few „bumpy“ challenges, but we’ve successfully navigated them.
This latest version introduces enhanced visualization tools for trend analysis and massively expands its highly customizable content generation capabilities.
New & Updated Features:
- Entity-Relationship Web: A new network visualization tool that maps connections between trending topics, companies, and technologies (e.g., linking „AI Infrastructure“ to specific market leaders and chip supply chains).
- Trend Momentum: A timeline view tracking the rise and fall of specific AI sub-sectors (such as NLP, Computer Vision, and Ethics) over a 24-hour period.
- Audio Briefings: Depending on the local time of day, users can now generate and download audio summaries of the latest news, categorized by topics like „Research & Breakthroughs“ or „Hardware & Chips.“
- Customizable Weekly Reports: Reporting now supports multi-language generation (including Spanish, French, German, and others) with options to define specific focus topics.
- Keyword Alerts: A new monitoring system allows users to set specific keywords (e.g., company names or regions) and receive notifications when matching articles are detected.
- Feed Management: Optimized the bulk import functionality for RSS feeds with auto-categorization capabilities.
- Dashboard Overview: The interface now provides a complete overhaul for real-time tracking of article volume across categories such as „Large Language Models,“ „Ethics & Regulation,“ and „Enterprise & Business,“ alongside a „persona-based“ AI News Assistant for contextual summaries. Use the assistant at your own risk – he can be „difficult“ at times (but don’t tell him I told you!).
API Key Requirement & Pricing Note:
My „AI News Radar“ performs intensive data processing to aggregate trends, summarize hundreds of articles, and generate audio. This high volume of operations often exceeds the standard rate limits of free API tiers. Therefore, I strongly recommend using a „Paid“ tier Google AI Studio API key to ensure the dashboard functions without interruption.
And yes, I hear you, credit card required – „Ugh!“. But rest assured, the credit card is solely required to activate the paid tier and does not mean you will be charged immediately. New accounts receive $300 in free credits, allowing you to utilize the dashboard’s full capabilities at no actual cost for a significant period. After using up these gifted credits or after 3 months, the account will automatically stop charging you. Just ensure you don’t inadvertently convert your test account into a full, continuously billed account by agreeing to sneaky pop-ups that might appear occasionally!
I’m eager to hear your feedback! Jens Polomski, Stefan Kirschnick, I’m curious what you both think.
