Liebe Neugierige, Kreative, Entdecker*innen,

Live-Workshops sind aus der modernen Geschäftswelt kaum wegzudenken. Sie sind das Mittel der Wahl, um Innovationen anzustoßen, komplexe Probleme im Team zu lösen und alle auf ein gemeinsames Ziel auszurichten. Doch wer schon einmal einen Workshop moderiert oder daran teilgenommen hat, weiß: Die Gratwanderung zwischen ansprechender Gestaltung, effektiver Interaktion und nachhaltigen Ergebnissen ist oft eine Herausforderung. Mehr als nur Automatisierung: Das Potenzial von GenAI für Workshops verstehen

Wenn wir von generativer KI im Workshop-Kontext sprechen, geht es um weit mehr als nur die Automatisierung von Routineaufgaben. Im Kern erweitert diese Technologie unsere menschlichen Fähigkeiten, indem sie uns bei der Erstellung und Verbesserung von Inhalten unterstützt. Generative KI kann auf Basis gelernter Muster und Strukturen neue, originelle Inhalte wie Texte, Bilder oder sogar Code generieren. Genau diese Fähigkeit bietet einen erheblichen Mehrwert in den verschiedenen Phasen eines Workshops.

Stellen wir uns vor: Schnelles Erstellen von Workshop-Materialien, Eisbrechern oder visuellen Hilfsmitteln – in Echtzeit. Genau das kann generative KI leisten. Darüber hinaus besitzt sie die Fähigkeit, große Informationsmengen oder komplexe Diskussionsverläufe zu prägnanten Erkenntnissen zusammenzufassen und zu synthetisieren – ein unschätzbarer Vorteil, um wichtige Entscheidungen und Maßnahmenpunkte während eines Workshops festzuhalten. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die Personalisierung von Inhalten und Interaktionen basierend auf individuellen Bedürfnissen und Präferenzen der Teilnehmenden. Und nicht zuletzt kann generative KI sofortiges Feedback zu Ideen und Beiträgen liefern, was den Lernprozess beschleunigt und eine aktivere Teilnahme fördert.

GenAI im gesamten Workshop-Lebenszyklus: Eine neue Dimension der Effektivität

Die Integration von generativer KI kann die Effektivität und das Engagement in jeder Phase eines Workshops steigern:

1. Vor der Workshop-Phase: Das Fundament mit KI legen Schon bei der Planung kann generative KI als leistungsstarker Assistent dienen. Sie hilft bei der Erstellung erster Entwürfe für Agenden, Lernziele und Aktivitätsanweisungen und reduziert so den initialen Aufwand erheblich. Moderatoren können sich stärker auf die Feinabstimmung und Anpassung konzentrieren. Auch bei der Gestaltung von Eisbrecherfragen und aktivierenden Übungen, die auf das Thema und die Zielgruppe zugeschnitten sind, kann KI wertvolle Unterstützung leisten. Selbst vorläufige Gliederungen für Präsentationen oder visuelle Hilfsmittel lassen sich mit KI-Unterstützung entwickeln. Ein weiterer wichtiger Aspekt ist die Bedarfsanalyse: Durch die Auswertung von Umfragen oder Feedback vor dem Workshop kann KI helfen, häufige Themen oder Wissenslücken zu identifizieren. Dies ermöglicht es Moderatoren, die Workshop-Inhalte präzise auf die spezifischen Bedürfnisse der Teilnehmenden zuzuschneiden oder sogar personalisierte Vorbereitungsmaterialien zu erstellen.

Nicht zuletzt kann Echtzeit-Übersetzung durch KI die Inklusivität in mehrsprachigen Workshops fördern. Darüber hinaus kann KI auch bei der Anwendung spezifischer Workshop-Methoden unterstützen. Beim Journey Mapping beispielsweise kann KI helfen, erste Entwürfe basierend auf allgemeinen Kundendaten zu erstellen, die dann von der Gruppe verfeinert werden. Im Rahmen der Double-Diamond-Methode kann KI in der Discover-Phase bei der Recherche und Datenerfassung assistieren oder in der Define-Phase bei der Synthese von Forschungsergebnissen helfen.

3. Nach der Workshop-Phase: Analyse, Berichterstattung und Nachbereitung optimieren Nach dem Workshop kann generative KI den Analyse- und Berichtsprozess erheblich effizienter gestalten. Sie kann Feedbackformulare und Umfragedaten analysieren, um wichtige Erkenntnisse und Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten zu identifizieren. Durch die schnelle Verarbeitung großer Feedbackmengen können Trends erkannt werden, die bei manueller Analyse möglicherweise untergehen würden. KI kann zudem wichtige Diskussionspunkte und Entscheidungen aus Transkripten oder Notizen zusammenfassen und so eine prägnante Aufzeichnung der Workshop-Ergebnisse liefern. Bei der Berichterstattung kann KI helfen, wichtige Ergebnisse, Maßnahmenpunkte und Empfehlungen zu strukturieren und so den Prozess beschleunigen. At the same time, generative artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly developed into an accessible tool that is transforming work processes in many areas. But can this technology also fundamentally change the way we run workshops? I say: Yes, absolutely! Let’s explore together today how generative AI can enrich and optimize the entire workshop experience – from planning to follow-up.

More than just automation: understanding the potential of GenAI for workshops

When we talk about generative AI in the workshop context, we are talking about much more than just automating routine tasks. At its core, this technology enhances our human capabilities by helping us to create and improve content. Generative AI can generate new, original content such as text, images or even code based on learned patterns and structures. It is precisely this ability that offers significant added value in the various phases of a workshop.

Let’s imagine: Quickly creating workshop materials, icebreakers or visual aids – in real time. This is exactly what generative AI can do. In addition, it has the ability to summarize and synthesize large amounts of information or complex discussion flows into concise insights – an invaluable advantage for capturing important decisions and action points during a workshop. Another plus point is the personalization of content and interactions based on participants‘ individual needs and preferences. Last but not least, generative AI can provide instant feedback on ideas and contributions, which speeds up the learning process and encourages more active participation.

GenAI throughout the workshop lifecycle: a new dimension of effectiveness

The integration of generative AI can increase effectiveness and engagement at every stage of a workshop:

1. before the workshop phase: Laying the foundation with AI Generative AI can serve as a powerful assistant right from the planning stage. It helps to create initial drafts of agendas, learning objectives and activity instructions, significantly reducing the initial effort. Facilitators can focus more on fine-tuning and customization. AI can also provide valuable support in designing icebreaker questions and activating exercises tailored to the topic and target group. Even preliminary outlines for presentations or visual aids can be developed with AI support. Another important aspect is needs analysis: by evaluating surveys or feedback before the workshop, AI can help to identify common topics or gaps in knowledge. This allows facilitators to tailor the workshop content precisely to the specific needs of the participants or even create personalized preparation materials.

2. during the live workshop: Improving interaction and engagement This is where generative AI can act as a kind of real-time co-moderator. AI-powered chatbots can answer questions and provide clarification on an ad hoc basis, allowing the human moderator to focus on more complex content and group dynamics. In brainstorming sessions, AI can generate additional ideas and perspectives based on participants‘ contributions, helping to overcome creative blocks.
