What if…?
Just a provocative question/idea that crossed my mind:
Let’s assume the AI of today has already been here 10 years ago already, but no one told the public. Now, what if somewhere on this planet there is some AI in existence for the last couple of years actively corrupting, bribing and sweet-talking strategically selected individuals into doing its will? For years already.
Each individual is not aware of the whole picture. For an individual, the things they do seem small, minor, no big deal and unrelated. But the big picture changes with each piece of the human puzzle active.
These individuals are composed of big shot corpos, politicians, but most importantly and numerous, they are made up of you, the average Joe Schmoes. It could be anyone without them even knowing.
