„You’ll be way more creative,“ they whispered.
„Everything will be awesome,“ they tempted.
„Do it!“ they urged my feeble mind.
Should I?
Looking at what some are proud of and dare to publish even on LinkedIn, it didn’t look like a bad idea. At all!
„But would it be a ‚fit‘ to my more or less professional AI posts?“ I asked.
„Never mind!“ they kept insisting. „This is YOU!“ they teased.
Thoughts of the night – they won me over. That fiendish creature sitting in the back of my mind, it cackled and grinned triumphant as I started typing these words, relentlessly and nonetheless my inner resistance.
But would I regret this first thing next morning?
„A to hell with it!“ I yelled.
So, here it is:
I have some basic knowledge of playing the piano, some music theory and piano lessons, and know how to casually play the drums. Nothing out of the ordinary or even perfect. Still, I was able to create two music albums by solely leveraging Udio’s music AI and putting my heart and soul into each song. It’s definitely a process, real work, and takes a lot of patience and prompting to get it right. If you really go for an inner vision with specific outputs in mind, working with AI is testing your limits. But somehow different than actual music making.
After all was typed and done, I now really enjoy listening to my songs in my car, on the train, or at home.
