For Services and calls, conversational AI seems to be THE killer app. I checked out Bland AI tonight, a platform designed to facilitate the integration of AI-powered phone and voice capabilities into applications.
Among others, the platform comes with the following key features:
- Phone Calling Platform: Developers can handle millions of calls daily through programmable voice agents, providing a human-like interaction.
- Industry Solutions: Tailored for various sectors, including real estate, healthcare, logistics, financial services, alternative data, small businesses, and prospecting.
- Use Cases: Bland AI finds applications in cold calls & surveys, inbound sales, and customer support.
- Live Call Transfers: The platform allows seamless transfers to human agents based on predefined conditions.
- Live Context: Integrating APIs injects live data into phone calls, enhancing the contextual experience.
- Human-like Voices: Users can choose from a library of voices or create a customized voice clone.
The video below is my first look at bland.ai. I liked it for its fast response times and accuracy staying on track of the conversation (well, most of the time). But eventually I think I drove the poor AI a little „loco“.
You be the judge.
Did you try out bland.ai yet?
How does it compare to the likes of air.ai, Twilio and others in that cluster of AI-enhanced robo-call companies?
What will these systems do in terms of nudging customers towards specific behaviors?
What about ethics in that regard?
The following link will show you part 2, where I dive head-first into the user interface of Bland AI: Part 2: Bland AI UI Deep Dive
