Reimagining Rothko: An Experiment

I set out to fix art – again. Or perhaps, more accurately, to comment on it; a re-imagination, a visualization.

Today’s second piece is Mark Rothko’s „White Center (Yellow, Pink and Lavender on Rose)“ from 1950 (left side).

The painting reminded me of a sunset, vacation, good times, and a good night’s sleep after a long day in the flawless sun. So, I thought I’d give it a try and „fix“ it (right side).

An astounding painting, and my shot at it is not really worth the dried paint on the soles of Rothko’s shoes. So, in all humbleness: if you don’t want your painting displayed here, give me a nod and it’s gone.
