We have seen the face of war,
Stared into eyes devoid of empathy.
We have heard the screams of the wounded,
As the blood of our brothers and sisters was spilled.
We have felt the weight of loss,
As those we loved were taken from us.
We have stood in the ruins of homes,
As the ashes of our past burned before us.
We have known the taste of fear,
As death danced in the air.
But through it all, we have held on to hope,
For though war may strip us of everything else,
It cannot extinguish the fire in our souls.
We will rise once again from chaos, destruction, and fear,
Proudly rebuilding our country with strength and determination.
For we are survivors,
Warriors in the face of war.
