Our first day at this year’s Digital X has passed, and it was a blast watching people try out our „DJ Mansion – WiFi in all corners“ update to Beatland. Ages ranging from 7 to 67 engaged with our playful educational WiFi experience, putting down routers and WiFi repeaters in our virtual DJ Mansion to help DJ HypeXta stream his live party into the web.
As of now, there are more than 103 YouTube videos from all over the world documenting how to get „The Pogo“, adding up to over 100,000 views. Since last Thursday, more than 80,000 players beat the WiFi challenge and earned their own Pogo Stick. If we assume about 10 minutes average playtime, that’d make this almost 2 months worth of eyeball time engaging voluntarily and with fun! And that’s not even counting those who just partially went through the experience.
Now we can only imagine players walking through other gaming worlds within Roblox, sporting the Telekom-branded „The Pogo“ on their backs, spreading the message of „WiFi in all corners“. Getting „The Pogo“ seems to be THE thing right now for those playing Beatland.
