They all went out there to find truth, meaning, life, a place called home.
Eventually, each of them was trapped within their own story, their own world and reality.
What would they discover?
The longer they were gone, the more they started to forget: their loved ones, daughters, sons, brothers, sisters, friends. Those close started to look like enemies, strangers became friends. Things warped in- and out of existence. The „Old Space Men“ slowly drifted into hazy oblivion. Will they ever return?
My NFT collection is about people who went on a journey while starting to forget about who they were and the loved ones around them. The story-driven NFTs tell the story of losing contact with „the real world“ in a re-imagined, approachable fashion leveraging AI-driven procedural art.
In stark contrast to these fictional lost „Old Space Men“, we experience the real deal with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Lewy body dementia (LBD).
Thinking about how NFTs could be used for good, I decided to deduct 5% from each „Old Space Man“ sold to an Alzheimer’s and Dementia Charity/Organization. And each time one such NFT gets re-sold, it will again generate 5% profit for charity.
Oh, and if you’re reading this and are a member of such organization, I would be thrilled to hear from you!
To those active in creating NFTs, how about joining #NFT4Good and showing how you can make a change? Let’s show we can do better!
