From my humble point of view, we are well advised to start investing heavily in our personal internet savviness, the know-how you would give to your family and friends included.
Next step would be a truly decentralized mesh network in which each individual holds a personal stake and interest in the curation of their tiny part of the web. Eventually building know-how communities around specific topics and crafts.
